We will be open for the June long weekend the 6th of June through to Monday 10am-4.00 pm and anticipate weekends till we resume normal trading from 3rd July for the school holidays and every day of July.

We are very excited to have been awarded a gold medal for our smoked trout at the Sydney Fine Food Awards for 2019, part of the RAS. The fact we also achieved a Bronze Medal for our trout mousse “simply awesome”.

The heat wave conditions in January made fishing for trout extremely difficult as they like environments where the water is below 20 degrees c and our ponds were 22 degrees c

Smoked Trout won 2 gold medals at 2017 Australian Food Awards

Eucumbene Trout Farm is celebrating after winning 2 gold medals at the 2017 Australian Food Awards (AFA) for their smoked trout. The farm received a Gold Medal for our smoked trout and also received the Gold Medal for best in class.

We will be closed on Wednesday to Friday inclusive from Wednesday 11 May to Friday 27 May, after which normal hours resume. We will be open all Saturdays and Sundays during this period, in fact we are open every weekend year round.

We have been busy with further advancing our cafe and selected offerings.
In addition to our fresh rainbow trout caught for you, our smoked trout and trout pate, we stock a range of regional produce to accompany your trout. This includes cheeses from Tilba, salsas from Ulladulla to award winning smoked garlic from Eden and even Alpaca koftas, all for sale.

The management of energy and water on the farm is a crucial aspect of operations with the need to control costs and water on site. Historical management involving pool pumps and recycling of water are not appropriate in 2014, rather we have to embrace innovation with current energy efficient pumps and generation practices.

Eucumbene Trout Farms' history goes back to the Jardin family who settled there in the 1840's and which was turned into a trout farm in the mid 1970's offering a unique fishing experience.

We just added approximately 1000 additional trout to our farm! This restocking positions us well for winter anglers fishing in 2012. The photo is the best i can give of the restocking with trout movements in the pond evident.

Renovations are well underway

Renovations are well underway to complete the commercial area and will bring new and fresh environment to add to the fishing experience. We have completed cleaning the larger ponds. As soon the commercial area we will move on to smaller tanks to clean and revamp as necessary.

In addition to the resident alpacas and our beloved trout we have introduced Highland cattle, intially two heifers which will form the basis of our Eucumbene Highland cattle fold going forward.
